Explanation: Well my power rankings held up a little better last week and I now feel like I have a much better grasp on what’s going on than I did after week 1. I kept Dallas at the top for obvious reasons. They’ve looked as good as advertised both weeks. I moved Pittsburgh up to number 2 despite the fact that they only won 10-6 over the Browns. That game was greatly affected by the bad weather. I’m also concerned about Big Ben’s shoulder but for now it has held up and he is tough. Philly lost but they played very well on the road against my number 1 team and would have won if not for a couple of inexplicable fumbles. San Diego may seem like a strange #4 team but they have lost 2 games in the final seconds and last week they really should have won on the road against the Broncos. I moved Indy back a spot even though they won because the offense still doesn’t look completely right and they will now be without Bob Sanders for at least a month. I moved the Packers ahead of the Colts after they had another impressive win. I’m also even more certain now that Aaron Rodgers can take this team as far or farther than they went last season. I did not expect the Giants to start their defense of the Championship this well but at this point I have to put them in the rankings. I begrudgingly put the Broncos in the final spot. I did not expect Denver to do much this year but they have looked so good in the first two weeks that I have to put them in the rankings. Jacksonville and the Saints fell out of the rankings after losing. The Jaguars’ offense looks pathetic and the Saints look as bad defensively as ever.
