The NFL Blog: 2012 Week 6 Betting Lines

Last Week: Vs. Spread: (8-6); Straight Up: (10-4)
Season: Vs. Spread: (45-30-2); Straight Up: (45-32)

Week 5 Review: Another solid week. I’m pretty excited. I don’t know if I’ve ever been above .500 ATS in both CFB and NFL this late in the year. I’m going to try and enjoy it for now because we all know it ain’t gonna last.

Week 6 Preview: There are only 14 games this week, as 4 more teams will be on their bye week. There’s really not a lot going on in the early session on Sunday, but there are some good matchups later on. The Giants and Niners play during the late session and the Packers play the Texans that night on NBC. The Monday night game is the usually interesting Denver-San Diego rivalry.

This doesn’t look like the most exciting week ever based on the matchups, but it could end up being one of those epic Sundays when all the games stay close. There are no double digit spreads this week and there’s only 1 spread over 5.5 points. And you know, that actually could be the recipe for a disastrous week picking games.
