The NFL Blog: 2012 Week 9 Betting Lines

Last Week: Vs. Spread: (6-8); Straight Up: (9-5)
Season: Vs. Spread: (64-52-2); Straight Up: (71-47)

Week 8 Review: Gotta keep the comments brief this week. Last week started terribly and could have been worse. On the other hand, it could have been better.

Week 9 Preview: Once again there are 14 games this week, with 4 teams taking their bye weeks. For the first time since week 6 there will be more than 2 games in the late time slot on Sunday.

As for picking games, this is a diabolical week. A lot of the scores were closer than expected last week with the underdogs keeping things close. However, the spreads have adjusted this week and are much smaller. Thus, I’m sticking with the favorites. I’ll be trying to avoid consecutive losing weeks ATS. Hopefully I can avoid disaster during a really tough week.
