7. Georgia 9-1 (7th)

10. South Carolina 8-2 (9th)

Out: Oregon State (8th).

Comments: It was an interesting week for these rankings. There was some change due to wins or losses by some of the eligible teams, but there was also some change due to previous wins or losses being upgraded or downgraded.

I decided to keep the requirements for eligibility the same this week, considering any team with less than 3 losses on the year.  We’re down to 4 undefeated teams. There are 10 teams with only 1 loss and 17 teams with 2 losses. That gave me a total of 31 teams eligible for these rankings.

7 of the 10 spots in my season résumé rankings experienced change this week. For the second week in a row I only switched out 1 team. Oregon State lost a close game at Stanford last Saturday and they fell out of my rankings from #8 this week. We all know what Texas A&M did on Saturday. The Aggies vaulted into the top 10 this week, jumping from out of the rankings to #6.

3 teams moved up the rankings this week, with 2 of those teams rising by more than 1 spot. Both Kansas State and LSU climbed 2 spots in the rankings. Kansas State moved up 2 spots from #4 to #2, while LSU moved up 2 spots from #10 to #8.

3 teams also moved down in the rankings while still remaining in the top 10. Of those 3 teams moving down in the rankings, 2 fell by more than 1 spot. Ohio State was idle last week and it ended up costing the Buckeyes in these rankings. Ohio State took the biggest fall in my season résumé rankings this week, dropping 4 spots from #5 to #9.

Despite the existence of 4 undefeated teams, a 1-loss team remains atop my season résumé rankings. Florida holds the #1 spot in the rankings for a third consecutive week. The SEC teams won’t get much out of the upcoming week, as most of them are playing FCS teams. On the other hand, if Kansas State gets by Baylor they should be the #1 team in these rankings next week, barring something really unexpected happening.
