Comments: Things got a bit more complicated for these rankings this week, as I had to factor in 2 games rather than just 1. To make things easier, I only considered teams that were 2-0 against FBS opponents. I then identified teams that were definitely above the rest and came up with 7. I ranked these teams 1-7.  Next I selected 3 more teams from a group of 10 remaining candidates and ranked those teams 8-10.

In the end I switched out 5 teams this week and 8 of the 10 spots were different. Alabama remained #1 for a second straight week. 3 teams moved up the rankings, with Iowa State taking the biggest climb (+4). However, Arizona debuts in the rankings at #4.

Only 1 team fell in these rankings while still remaining in the top 10. Clemson dropped 7 spots from #2 to #9. However, #4 Nevada was the highest ranked team to fall out of the rankings.

These rankings will be more interesting and relevant as the year goes along.
