Comments:
It
was another routine week of changes for this edition of my power rankings. 24
of 32 spots in my rankings experienced change, up from 22 last week. 11 teams
moved up in the rankings, while 13 teams moved down. Of the 11 teams going up
the rankings, 9 moved up more than 1 spot. Of the 13 teams falling in the
rankings, 8 fell by more than 1 spot.
The Cleveland Browns—a team
that spent several weeks at the bottom of the rankings earlier this year—made the
biggest move up the rankings this week, climbing 4 spots from #28 to #24.
The Giants and Niners
took the biggest tumbles in my rankings this week, both dropping 3 spots. The
Niners dropped 3 spots from #2 to #5. The Giants were knocked out of the top
spot after just one week back atop the rankings, falling 3 spots from #1 to #4.
The Houston Texans climbed 3 spots from #4 to replace the Giants at #1. It is
the first time Houston has held the top spot since week 4.
The Raiders continued
their recent stretch of wretched play last week with a rather uncompetitive
home loss to Cleveland. They are the #32 team in my rankings for a second
straight week.
