Week
5 Review: Another disappointing week for me, as I was well
under .500 in the most important area. I knew I’d fall back towards .500
eventually but I’m annoyed that it only took a few weeks for my entire cushion
in overall ATS to be wiped out. It was also another losing week picking ATS in
the biggest 10 games. I’m now in some danger of falling into a hole too deep to
climb out of in that category.
I knew the numbers were
going to be bad. There are certain teams that I almost always pick to cover
regardless of the spread and there are certain teams that I always pick against
regardless of the spread. Last week was not a good week for that strategy. To
be honest, I was a bit relieved that my results ATS weren’t a lot worse last
week.
It wasn’t all bad. I
had an excellent week picking winners in the biggest 10 games. And I had my
best week picking upset winners in perhaps a few seasons. I got back to .500
for the year on moneyline upsets and I don’t think I’ve had a non-losing record
in that category this late into a season in a while.
Week
6 Preview: Big matchups are not a guarantee that it
will be a great week of college football. However, this will certainly be a “big”
week in college football, and by “big” I mean impactful.
There are 3 huge games
between undefeated teams and national championship contenders. The 2 best teams
in the Big Ten also square off and there are a number of rivalry games thrown
in this week.
3 highly ranked
undefeated teams will lose this week no matter what, and there could easily be
a few more joining them. It’s going to be interesting.
As for me, I’m pretty
desperate for a solid week ATS.

I love this blog. I always get my betting lines from your weekly posts. Throughout the past year I have grown an obsession toward
sports betting online, especially with college football. I love the Scarlet Knights and placing a bet on them every week makes the games so much more fun to watch. It has grown into one of my most favorite hobbies.
